Installation

Start installing sod immediately after delivery/pick-up.

Area should be prepared before sod is delivered/picked up.

Area should be clear of weeds, rocks, and any other debris.

The topsoil should be raked to loosen and level soil.

Begin at the longest straight line, such as a driveway.

Make sure edges and ends are tight, avoiding gaps and overlapping.

Stagger each row in a brick-like pattern, using a box cutter or knife to trim rolls.

On slopes, place sod across, or perpendicular to the slope. For steeper slopes,

tack sod down on upper edges with sod staples.

After installation you can use a sod roller to insure better sod to soil contact, but it is not necessary.

Begin watering sod within 30 minutes after installation, especially when hot.

Water approximately 1 1/2" daily, preferably in the early morning,

and again late afternoon/early evening when temperatures are extreme.
